The POPX has forever changed the face of top-water gaming. While in development, the POPX was constructed with a natural, wood body that underwent extensive field testing. At the time, the top-water world was seen as being reserved for a small group of veteran anglers, and not everyone could experience the real thrill of top water gaming. Thus a lure that could make top water gaming more accessible was in demand. Yuki Ito took the wooden test model of the POPX and faithfully reproduced it with an injection body, allowing that demand to be met.
