Anglers have heard the claims for years - graphite rods are too stiff and react too fast for fishing crankbaits effectively. They claim fish can't inhale the lure like they can with the heavier, slower, more sluggish glass rods, but material is only one part of the formula. Design is by far the most important aspect. Our philosophy? Use the dynamic features/advantages of graphite (sensitivity, light weight, faster recovery, etc.) to make a really good crankbait rod. We just do it with higher modulus materials - in this case, GLX - creating rods that are EXTREMELY light, responsive and sensitive, with soft actions that are everything you want a great crankbait rod to be. The bottom line is more fish in the boat at the end of the day with less effort.
