Channel Catfish  นี้จัดได้ว่าเป็นปลาเกมส์อย่างหนึ่งในจำพวกปลา  Catfish
ด้วยกัน    ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะพบได้ตามแหล่งน้ำซึ่งไหลเร็วและสะอาดกว่าแหล่งพำนัก
ของปลาจำพวก White Catfish ซึ่งปลาทั้งสองชนิดนี้มักจะหากินในเวลากลางคีน
แต่เราก็สามารถที่จะพบตัว( ตก )ได้ในเวลากลางวันได้เช่นกัน
          ปลา Catfish  โดยส่วนใหญ่สามารถตกได้โดยใช้เหยื่อที่มีกลิ่นเหม็นเช่น
ปลาขนาดเล็กที่ตายแล้ว ( dead  minnows  )  ชีสที่มีกลิ่นรุนแรง  (strong
smelling  cheese  )  หอยกาบต้ม  ( spoiled  clams )  อย่างไรก็ตาม
สบู่ซักผ้า( laundry  soup )  และ กึ๋น ( chicken  gizzards )  นั้นจะได้ผล
เป็นอย่างดียิ่ง
          The channel catfish is a sporting member of the catfish
family ,  and prefers clearer and faster waters than  the white
catfish . Both of these species feed mostly at night  , but may
be  cought  throughout  the day  .  Most catfish are caught on
" stink baits,"  dead minnows  ,  strong smelling cheese , 
spoiled clams . However , a piece of laundry soap , cooked
hot dogs , beef , and chicken gizzards are very good .
