ภาพที่ 1A recent survey of 700 avid outdoors enthusiasts shows that the campaign message is reaching anglers and they in turn are reaching out to share the gift of fishing with someone new.
More Fishing Trips. More Fishing Tackle. More Fishing Licenses.
Nearly a third who have seen the Anglers' Legacy campaign have already acted. They've taken someone fishing (72% on a boat) and in the process, more than half (56.8%) purchased tackle for the trip. Some of the guests already had a fishing license, but among those who didn't, nearly two thirds (61.5%) purchased a license for the trip.
Building Relationships with Core Customers
In addition to the short term tangible benefits of more sales, manufacturers and retailers are also benefiting from sharing the cause with their core customers. Anglers' Legacy is a relationship building opportunity because the cause is a story that has meaning to core customers. Research shows that 99% of today's anglers fish because someone took the time to teach them. And as avids introduce newcomers to angling, the long term benefits of a stronger community of participants will begin to also add up.

Among those who have already responded to the campaign and taken someone new fishing, 97.5% said they will do it again within the next year. For anglers, the heart of the program is giving back the gift someone gave them fishing. As more and more anglers join in, the long term benefits of the program will begin to add up and the number of anglers will grow.
The Anglers' Legacy program has a strong emotional connection for the people best suited to introduce newcomers to the sport those who already love it. It's a simple but powerful concept that the early research shows is working.
