Dear everyone,
sorry I took a long time to reply but I have to wait a full 7 days after signing up before Siamfishing allowed me to make my first post.
Now... what can I say about the trip... it was fantastic, exciting, fun, entertaining and above all, I made some very good friends along the way with memories to last forever. It has been 2 weeks since the trip and everyday I still reminiscence about the good times on board the Polaris One.
I would like to dedicate a special mention to each one of you:
Nog - It was a pleasure to finally meet you. Heard so much about you from Thai and it was good to put a face to the name. Thanks again for the fantastic price of the Shimano reel
Natt - Many thanks for giving us a ride back to Bangkok. Best wishes for your wedding next year. You have a lovely fiancee and hopefully she will allow you to go out again on the Polairs next year!!
PParn - Pleasure meeting you. Please send my regards to your wife and son. Tell your son that he can take me out next year on his boat!
Topper - Thanks again for sharing your experiences and adventures. I picked up quite a few pointers just by watchng your 2hrs battle with the shark. Also been following your youtube battles with the Oman GT and Im telling you dude, Im fast catching the GT bug as well. Might keep an eye out for the Coral Viper 79/40...
Peng - You will be happy to know that I now mastered the knot. Its so easy to tie and thanks again for showing me how. Its been a pleasure fishing with you, Ben and I am very happy you got yourself a nice dogtooth tuna and cods. Hope the stock market treats you well mate.
(Skinny) Beer - I have to say this... you have an awesome casting technique. I was watching you cast poppers one day and realised some of the mistakes that I have been making. Hope to see you again next year!
Gigg - Wished I get to say a proper goodbye to you mate. Its been an absolute pleasure fishing with you and thank you so much for helping with the translating Captain Toe's instructions. Its a real pity that you are no longer staying in Brisbane else I would be hooking up with you for a couple of landbased sessions at Coomera and Goldy. Cheers buddy and really hope to see you again next year.
Kitzz - Mr Asari man!! You are the reason why I got so many fish... with your jigs!! I really appreciate the special price that you did for me on the jigs and also the companionship that you provided on the Polaris. You are a great guy to be around with and I would be ecstatic if we can repeat the same experience again next year end. This time I will bring more money and buy more Asari jigs!!
(Big) Beer - I miss you brother!! I was telling my wife what a funny guy you are and always providing for all the jokes and entertainment onboard the Polaris. Mate, you are generous, kind, funny and I have to say that you are one of the pinnacle for making this trip so enjoyable. Please let me know if you ever plan to visit Australia or even planning a trip to New Zealand for big king fish and I might just join you too. Take care again brother and please stay in touch.
Boot - You are one of a kind, Boot. Thanks for being such a top organiser and planning every single details for us. The Polaris trip was great and you made it even better for us by taking us to the barra farm and also showing us the technique for catfish fishing. Please have a think about dropping by Brisbane if you are visiting your sister next year in Melbourne. I will gladly show you around and also go for a few jigging sessions around our waters. Thanks again for everything Boot
Uthai - I am saving the last and best 'thank you' to you, Uthai. This trip would not be possible without you and 18 months ago when you made the Polaris trip suggestion to us, I was wondering if I could have waited that long because I was really keen to fish Fiji or New Zealand but now, I am so glad that I waited. Thanks for being our liasion and arranging for our drives to Ranong. Thanks again for introducing us to the Polaris and thanks again for playing a part in me getting to meet all the great people on board. Catch up soon for dinner when you are free.
Captain Toe - Toe, if you are reading this... Gangnam Style will be back next year!!
